Mortgage interest rates appear to be easing yet seem a bit obstinate. Rates have dipped slightly with affordability remaining tight for many consumers.Β Some loan programs offering lower interest rates upfront are gaining traction, as buyers are aware of their option to refinance as rates come back into a more desired range. These interim programs have offered an inroad to home ownership, that without them these buyers wouldn’t have captured a property. The real estate market appears to be “normalizing” as we are seeing less frenzied bidding and more of a steady pace when looking at inventory and active cumulative days on the market. Many builders are offering incentives which can be a nice motivator if you’re in the market for new construction.
