FinCEN On Hold
A judge rolled back FinCEN’s anti-money laundering regulations requiring all cash transactions for residential real estate to report rule. In light of a federal court decision, those people reporting are now not required to file with FinCEN and not are subject to liability if they fail to do so while the court order remains in force. FinCEN may challenge the court’s decision and seek reinstatement, but all is on hold for now. Want more information?
